Shirley is a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1958. She has been blessed with lifetime friends from her days at Hotel Dieu School of Nursing! Her working career was spent in Riverview Chronic Care and Windsor Regional Hospital. 

She was blessed to marry her childhood sweetheart. They were together 61 years when he died in 2019, leaving her with beautiful memories. They were blessed with 4 children and 5 grandchildren as well as family in Mexico City . 

She has been a Parish Nurse for 14 years. She completed The Parish Nurse Institute program, McMaster Divinity College in 2006. 

Shirley obtained a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry in 2011, from the Diocese of London and she follows the Charisms, as an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph. This ministry, has given her the opportunity to love God through service to others.
